Handle cash, credit card transactions, and process payments efficiently while maintaining accuracy in cash handling and retail math. Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about menu items, upselling specials, and recommending popular choices to enhance sales. Assist with food preparation, food handling, and sanitation to ensure all health and safety standards are met in accordance with food safety regulations. Clear tables, bus tables (bussing), and maintain cleanliness of dining areas to promote a hygienic environment. Support kitchen staff by preparing simple food items or ingredients as needed in a quick service or fast-food restaurant setting. Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve guests promptly while maintaining high-quality service standards. Experience Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for the food industry is essential! Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus. Experience in cashiering, cash handling, and basic math ensures smooth transactions at the register. Knowledge of food preparation techniques, sanitation practices, and food safety standards is highly valued. Background in café, retail math, grocery store operations, or quick service & fast-food restaurants will help you excel in this role. Strong customer service skills paired with excellent time management are key to thriving in this energetic position.
