Responsibilities Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of food and beverage options, including wine and spirits. Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Toast POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled. Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation. Upsell menu items, including cocktails, wine pairings, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales. Process cash transactions accurately, handle credit card payments via POS systems like OpenTable or other platforms, and issue receipts. Maintain cleanliness of tables, assist with bussing, and ensure a tidy dining area at all times. Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions about menu items, dietary restrictions, or special requests with professionalism and enthusiasm. Follow all food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures to ensure a safe dining environment. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely service during busy hours in fine dining or nightclub settings. Support team members with additional duties such as hosting or assisting with food preparation when needed to ensure smooth operations. Experience Previous food service experience in a fast-paced restaurant or nightclub environment is highly preferred. Proven ability to manage multiple tables efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with POS systems, or similar platforms is essential. Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail mixing, and beverage service techniques. Experience with OpenTable for reservations management is a plus. Demonstrated skills in upselling menu items to maximize sales opportunities. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude that fosters guest loyalty. Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and handling cash responsibly. Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in the food industry.
