Morehead City's newest coastal fine dining restaurant is pursuing individuals to join our team. Filet 'n' Fin, a new restaurant with prime location and major storefront visibility in Morehead City, NC, is seeking enthusiastic, customer-centric team members to serve guests. Starting at $2.25 per hour, plus tips. Servers must be able to work any day of the week. Servers must be 18 years of age. All wait staff are scheduled to come in between 30 minutes to an hour before opening to make sure everything is clean, tables are set up, and all prerequisites are done. Servers will be expected to stay approximately 30 minutes to an hour after closing to make sure their sections are clean and ready for the next day. We are looking for friendly and attentive servers. You'll be the face of our restaurant and responsible for our customers' experiences. Food server responsibilities include ensuring our tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, presenting menus, upselling menu items and serving food and beverages. You need to be quick on your feet (literally and metaphorically) and have a polite and friendly attitude. If you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a fast-paced workplace, we'd like to meet you. Responsibilities Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order Attend to customers upon entrance Present restaurant menus and help customers select food/beverages Take and serve orders Fluently upsell menu items Answer questions or make recommendations for our signature dishes Collaborate with other restaurant servers, kitchen and bar staff Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude Issue bills and accept payment Requirements At least 1-year proven experience as a Full-Service Waiter/Waitress at a Full-Service Sit-Down Restaurant Attention to cleanliness and safety Patience and customer-oriented approach Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude Responsible and trustworthy High school diploma is a plus but not required
