Responsibilities Clear and clean tables promptly to maintain a tidy dining area, ensuring guest comfort and safety. Assist with bussing tables, resetting them efficiently for new guests while adhering to food safety standards. Safely handle food and beverage items during delivery from kitchen to table, following proper food handling procedures. Support the kitchen team by transporting dishes, utensils, and supplies using safe manual handling practices, including heavy lifting when necessary. Deliver food orders swiftly and accurately to guests' tables, ensuring presentation quality and timely service. Maintain clear communication with servers, kitchen staff, and management using effective verbal skills to coordinate service flow smoothly. Uphold cleanliness standards by cleaning workstations, floors, and service areas regularly using appropriate cleaning techniques. Assist with in-person guest services by answering questions politely and providing attentive support throughout the dining experience. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing when needed, supporting seamless transactions. Follow all food safety protocols to ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation at all times. Experience Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is key! Familiarity with food running, bussing, or supporting roles in busy restaurant settings is advantageous. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members in person. Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus but training will be provided. Experience with food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques enhances your fit for this role.
