Cocktails Schedule:
6:00 AM-12:00 PM | Open Seven Days a Week Position Summary Solstice Kitchen + Cocktails is seeking a friendly, dependable, and energetic Breakfast Buffet Server to provide exceptional morning service to our hotel guests and local diners. This position is responsible for preparing the dining room for breakfast, welcoming guests, maintaining the buffet, providing attentive table service, and ensuring the restaurant remains clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout the shift. Essential Responsibilities Arrive on time and prepared for a 6:00 AM shift. Complete all opening duties before breakfast service begins. Set and inspect tables, service stations, beverage areas, and buffet displays. Warmly greet guests and explain the breakfast buffet, available beverages, and menu options. Take and accurately enter beverage and à la carte orders. Serve coffee, tea, juice, water, and other beverages promptly. Monitor assigned tables and anticipate guest needs throughout the meal. Clear used plates and glassware regularly to keep tables comfortable and organized. Reset tables quickly and correctly for incoming guests. Monitor the buffet for cleanliness, presentation, proper utensils, and product availability. Communicate with the culinary team when buffet items need to be refreshed or replenished. Maintain clean buffet surfaces and immediately address spills or safety concerns. Follow all food-safety, sanitation, and allergen-awareness procedures. Accurately process guest checks, room charges, discounts, and payments. Assist with side work, polishing, stocking, sweeping, and general dining-room cleanliness. Complete all closing duties before leaving at the end of the shift. Work cooperatively with servers, hosts, bussers, cooks, dishwashers, and hotel departments. Provide thoughtful, personalized hospitality and assist with guest concerns professionally. Perform additional duties as assigned by restaurant leadership. Qualifications Previous serving, buffet, restaurant, or hospitality experience is preferred. Must be dependable and comfortable working early-morning shifts. Ability to provide friendly and efficient service in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills. Basic knowledge of food allergies and safe food-handling practices. Ability to learn the point-of-sale system and hotel room-charge procedures. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Must be available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift. Ability to carry trays, dishes, and beverage containers safely. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive service tasks.
