Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables with a friendly demeanor Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality Process cash and card transactions efficiently, including sales transaction processing and handling cash accurately Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and desserts to enhance guest experience and increase sales Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including food handling and beverage service areas Assist with opening or closing duties as needed, including setting up tables, restocking supplies, and cleaning workstations Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably in fine dining or hospitality settings Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for order entry and transaction processing Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle guest relations diplomatically Knowledge of wine types, spirits, cocktail recipes, and beverage service techniques including open table reservations (OpenTable experience is a plus) Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours while maintaining attention to detail Basic math skills for cash handling, processing payments accurately, and managing sales transactions Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation procedures, food handling practices, and overall health regulations within the food industry Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service flow Previous experience with culinary or kitchen operations is advantageous but not required; a willingness to learn is essential Join us to be part of an energetic team dedicated to delivering outstanding guest experiences!
