Duties Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and digital payments Upsell menu items including beers, seasonal menu, and specialty drinks to enhance guest experience Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining proper beverage service standards Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dining area and service stations Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth operations Manage guest relations by addressing questions or concerns professionally and promptly Follow all food safety protocols including proper food handling and sanitation practices Support opening or closing duties such as setting up or cleaning the dining area Experience Previous food service experience in a restaurant setting is preferred; fine dining experience is a plus Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing sales transactions Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail mixing, and beverage service techniques including OpenTable reservations management is advantageous Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours Experience in upselling menu items to increase sales while ensuring guest satisfaction Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and processing payments Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence Understanding of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling practices Culinary or kitchen experience can be beneficial but is not required; enthusiasm for learning is key Join us at Denny's Wells where your energy fuels exceptional guest experiences!
