Dominican Village is a not-for-profit, senior living community and assisted living residence founded in 1992 by the sisters of St. Dominic of Amityville, New York. Its mission is to provide a supportive environment in which the sacredness of life and the dignity of each person are held in the highest regard and to offer its residents a choice of programs and services which foster independence, promote physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health, and maximize opportunities for socialization. We are currently seeking Part Time and Per Diem Servers for our dining rooms to work during the week as well as during the weekend.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Set and clear tables, take residents' dining orders, and provide the highest level of customer service. Review menus with residents and acquaint new residents with dining at Dominican Village. Assist with delivery, and cleanup of daily meals, banquets, and special events. Create a strong sense of teamwork with your colleagues and positive relationships with residents. Clean and sanitize carpet, tables, chairs, condiment containers, and equipment used in the dining room.

Qualifications:

Basic reading, writing, and math skills Effective verbal and written English skills General knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices No experience needed On-the-job training - get paid to get trained! Candidates must be punctual, reliable, and flexible to work additional hours/varying shifts as needed, and possess excellent customer service skills for interaction with residents and visitors.
