Responsibilities Greet guests warmly, provide menus, and answer questions about food and beverage options with enthusiasm. Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted. Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness. Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities through effective suggestive selling techniques like OpenTable reservations or wine pairings. Manage guest relations by addressing concerns promptly, ensuring satisfaction from arrival to departure. Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by following proper handling procedures and cleaning protocols. Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas quickly, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations during busy hours. Requirements Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining. Familiarity with POS systems such as Square for restaurants, or similar platforms. Strong knowledge of food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude. Ability to manage time effectively in fast-paced environments while multitasking seamlessly. Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and billing accuracy. Previous experience with culinary tasks, food preparation, or host/hostess roles is a plus. Knowledge of reservation systems like OpenTable is advantageous.
