Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them through the menu options with enthusiasm and detailed knowledge of our offerings. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring precise entry and timely processing. Upsell menu items including wine pairings, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales. Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining a polished presentation and adhering to food handling and sanitation standards. Process cash and credit card transactions accurately, including handling cash register operations with POS systems like OpenTable or other restaurant software. Provide expert wine knowledge, recommend drink pairings, and serve beverages responsibly with attention to spirits experience and cocktail preparation. Assist with bussing tables, maintaining cleanliness in dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure smooth operations. Engage with guests to foster positive relations, address inquiries promptly, and resolve any concerns with professionalism and hospitality focus. Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu, daily specials, food safety protocols, and restaurant policies to deliver consistent service excellence. Support sanitation efforts by adhering to health regulations, proper food handling procedures, and ensuring all service areas are clean and organized. Experience Proven experience in fine dining or upscale food service environments demonstrating excellent guest relations skills. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus. Strong background in beverage service including spirits, cocktails, wine knowledge, and drink presentation. Previous roles involving food handling, serving in restaurants or nightclubs, or related hospitality settings preferred. Ability to manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management while maintaining high-quality service standards. Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities. Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food preparation techniques within the food industry. Excellent communication skills paired with a proactive attitude towards guest service; previous experience in hospitality or customer-focused roles is highly valued.
