Position Summary:

The Dining Server ensures resident and guest satisfaction by serving meals in a hospitable and efficient manner. Responsible for providing the highest quality service in a fine dining or catering atmosphere.

Responsibilities include:

Thoroughly set up dining rooms or catered functions for each meal period or event. Have a thorough knowledge of all menu items to include Ingredients, cooking time, how items are prepared and alternatives. Check your specific section for complete and proper set up. Complete daily opening and closing side work and temperature logs. Properly reset your section at the end of your shift. Take orders from residents or guests by phone or in person. Serve residents and guests in a fine dining sit down atmosphere. Serve residents and guests in special catered functions and parties. Perform all assigned cleaning duties. Assist other coworkers whenever possible. Greet and serve residents in a warm and friendly manner. Provide service that is efficient and professional.

Qualifications:

High School Graduate or equivalent is preferred. HACCP/Food Safety Certified is preferred. Fluent in the English Language. At least one (1) year experience as a dining server preferred but not required. Check out what we have to offer YOU at https://www.stjohnsliving.
