A server assistant's primary role is to help servers and provide a good dining experience for guests.

Their responsibilities include:

Setting tables : Set tables with the right silverware, glassware, and dishes Refilling drinks : Refill drinks and clear empty glasses as needed Clearing tables : Clear dirty dishes and glasses from tables Resetting tables : Prepare tables for the next guests Running food : Run food to tables in a timely manner Greeting guest : Greet guests and provide them with menus as needed Stocking supplies : Ensure supplies are stocked before, during, and after shift

Communicating :

Communicate effectively with the FOH and BOH to ensure timely service Assisting with special needs : Respond to any special needs and requests quickly, and relay them to the server or manager, if necessary
