Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, providing a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted. Deliver food and drinks promptly from the kitchen to tables, maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards. Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and desserts to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales. Process cash transactions and credit card payments efficiently while maintaining accuracy in sales transaction processing. Clear tables by bussing dishes, resetting for new guests, and ensuring cleanliness throughout the dining area. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely food preparation and delivery, supporting overall restaurant operations. Maintain knowledge of wine pairings, cocktail recipes, and beverage service techniques to provide expert recommendations. Assist with opening or closing duties as needed, including sanitation practices and inventory checks. Foster positive guest relations through attentive service, addressing questions or concerns promptly to ensure an exceptional dining experience. Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs. Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for efficient order processing. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and ability to engage guests professionally. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while processing sales swiftly under pressure. Knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine knowledge, cocktail preparation, and drink presentation. Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods while maintaining high standards of service. Basic math skills for calculating bills, tips, and change accurately; understanding of food safety and sanitation protocols. Experience in food handling, food preparation support, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen operations when needed. Strong communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with team members and ensure guest satisfaction. Enthusiasm for learning about new menu items, wine pairings, and industry trends to continuously improve service quality.
