In this versatile role, you'll coordinate seating arrangements, handle customer transactions with precision, and provide attentive service to ensure every guest feels valued and satisfied. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservation bookings using restaurant table management systems. Coordinate seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction. Take customer orders accurately, relay them to the kitchen, and process payments swiftly using POS systems while maintaining excellent phone etiquette. Provide friendly guest services by addressing questions about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies with clear communication skills. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, dining area, and cashier station in compliance with food safety standards. Assist in managing waitlists during busy periods and communicate wait times effectively to guests. Support team members by assisting with food service when needed and ensuring smooth restaurant operations. Qualifications Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential. Strong communication skills with the ability to handle phone calls professionally and courteously. Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash or card payments via POS systems. Familiarity with restaurant reservation management and table management systems is a plus. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of food safety practices and restaurant operations to ensure guest safety and satisfaction. Pay:
$14.72 - $17.04 per hour
