Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and attentive Server to join our dynamic food service team. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, utilizing reservation systems such as OpenTable when applicable. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests and dietary needs are clearly communicated to the kitchen staff. Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness, including proper food handling and sanitation practices. Upsell menu items and beverages to enhance guest experience and increase sales, leveraging your knowledge of the menu and current promotions. Check in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction, address any concerns promptly, and provide personalized recommendations based on their preferences. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments efficiently. Assist with side duties such as bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods to maintain a smooth operation. Requirements Previous restaurant experience or food service background is preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus. Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; experience with OpenTable is advantageous. Strong customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude and excellent communication abilities. Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking seamlessly. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques. Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing. Experience in serving or host/hostess roles within the food industry is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities.
