Job Description

Position Summary :
To serve food, drinks, and to accommodate guests' needs in a courteous and timely manner following our standard steps of service. To project the Sam's Wedge Inn image and engage with guests.
Responsibilities:
Delivers food and drinks to guests using and meeting the service standards set forth during the training period Greet guests, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food, drinks, and service. Inform guests of special offers and promotions Handles guest complaints in a professional and timely manner Utilizes salesmanship to increase guest check averages Interacts verbally with all guests creating an upbeat atmosphere Relays orders to service bar and kitchen via the point-of-sale computerized register system Observes guests and responds to any additional requests. Maintains guest satisfaction throughout entire visit Presents guest check to each table and accepts a form of payment. Makes correct change and/or completes the proper charge card procedure Participates in the clearing, sanitizing and resetting of guests' tables Responsibly serve alcohol to our guests Takes ownership of the FOH (Front of House) in terms of cleanliness and organization. Helps in other positions when needed Trains new staff to uphold these same standards
Competencies:
Able to work quickly and competently under stress Ability to work well with other members of the team; excellent communication skills required Demonstrates concern for personal cleanliness Ensures our guests are receiving the highest quality, freshest and most consistent food products possible Promotes team work Completes all opening, closing and ongoing side work. Observes basic rules of safety and sanitation
Qualifications:
Stands or walks for the entire shift; regular breaks will be provided Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Reading skills are mandatory Reaching, bending and kneeling are required Hazards may include slips, cuts, burns and falls

$5.50 - $40.00 per hour
