Responsibilities Greet guests warmly, take their orders accurately, and serve beverages and food promptly. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales transactions efficiently. Upsell menu items, including cocktails, wines, and spirits, to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, restocking supplies, and adhering to food safety protocols. Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments using POS systems like OpenTable or other restaurant software. Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine pairings, spirits, and menu options to elevate guest satisfaction. Assist with food preparation, beverage mixing, and bartending duties as needed in a fine dining environment. Skills Extensive experience with POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and other restaurant software. Strong knowledge of wine varieties, spirits, cocktail mixing, and beverage service techniques. Proven ability to upsell menu items effectively while maintaining excellent guest relations. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables and orders efficiently during busy hours. Prior food service or restaurant experience in a fast-paced or fine dining setting is preferred. Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
