Job Description

You Know How to Sell. Now Learn How to Lead. You've proven you can perform. Now you're ready for the next challenge: building a team that can perform with you. Cedar Valley Exteriors is looking for high-performing sales professionals who want more than another sales position. Our Sales Manager in Training Program provides a structured, six-month pathway designed to develop successful salespeople into confident team leaders. This isn't a vague promise that management might happen someday. There's a plan. There's a timeline. And there's hands-on mentorship along the way. As a Sales Manager in Training, you'll get: A defined 6-month leadership track — know exactly what you're working toward from day one. Direct mentorship from experienced leaders — learn alongside people already doing the job. Real management experience — you'll gradually take on leadership responsibilities instead of being thrown into the deep end. Leadership development — build the skills to coach, motivate, develop, and manage a high-performing sales team. Continued support — mentorship doesn't disappear the moment you earn the title. Long-term growth potential — join an expanding company where strong leaders have the opportunity to grow with the organization. Months 1-3: Prove It. Prepare for It. Before you can lead high performers, you need to be one. During the first three months, you'll: Demonstrate consistent, top-tier sales performance. Master Cedar Valley Exteriors' sales process. Lead by example in your daily actions and results. Build credibility and trust with the team. Complete leadership-focused development and training. Begin developing the skills needed to coach and influence others. Month 4: Learn to Lead You'll begin working directly alongside an experienced Sales Manager.
You'll:
Shadow day-to-day management responsibilities. Learn how the team is coached, developed, and held accountable. Begin taking ownership of selected leadership responsibilities. Apply what you've learned in real situations with guidance nearby. Month 5: Start Running the Team Now you'll move from observing leadership to practicing it.
You'll:
Co-manage the sales team. Coach and support individual representatives. Help drive activity, accountability, and performance. Make leadership decisions with experienced management there to guide you. Month 6: Step Into Leadership It's time to put it all together. You'll transition toward independently leading your team while continuing to receive support from established leadership.
The goal:
move from proven salesperson to capable Sales Manager in six months. Who We're Looking For This opportunity isn't designed for someone learning sales for the first time. It's for someone who's already discovered they're good at it — and is starting to wonder, "What's next?" You could be a strong fit if you: Have a proven track record of success in sales. Naturally help, coach, or motivate the people around you. Want responsibility instead of simply wanting a title. Can hold yourself and others accountable. Are coachable enough to keep learning even after you've become successful. Want to build a high-performing team, not just hit your own numbers. Are serious about moving into sales leadership. At Cedar Valley Exteriors, we're growing — and we're developing the people who can help lead that growth. If you've already proven you can sell and you're ready to prove you can lead, this could be your next move. Apply today for the Sales Manager in Training Program and start your six-month path toward sales leadership.
