Job Description
The Woodlands at Furman is looking for a Dining Room server for our Independent Living dining room, as well as 1 for Assisted Living. The Woodlands offers a full and competitive benefits package and wages. Position Summary Takes menu orders from residents and guests. Serves and busses tables according to established guidelines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The following duties are normal for this position. This list is not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Take meal/drink orders and serves meals in a friendly and timely manner. Able to work in a senior housing environment which meets or exceeds hospitality and service standards. Assures resident/guest is satisfied with their meal. Maintains knowledge of all specials and general descriptions of all food items and explains them to residents and guests. Maintains all side stations and dining areas using the "clean as you go" policy. Follows daily and weekly cleaning schedules. Assists with orientation and training of new food servers. Practices all safety and loss prevention procedures. Sets up and cleans the Dining Room while maintaining or exceeding hospitality and service standards. Maintains or exceeds standards of appearance, cleanliness, personal sanitation, and hygiene. Attends all in-services as required. Stores, labels, and dates all foods properly. Must be able to learn and grow proficient with our computerized POS systems. Able to work on Holidays, and for pre-planned special events. Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
