Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a smooth and welcoming guest flow. Take accurate food and beverage orders, process transactions efficiently while upselling menu items like wines, spirits, and specialty cocktails. Provide detailed descriptions of menu items, including wine pairings and cocktail options, to enhance guest experience and promote sales. Serve food and beverages professionally, maintaining high standards of presentation, sanitation, and food safety protocols. Manage beverage service including spirits experience, drink preparation, and timely refills to ensure guest satisfaction. Handle cash transactions accurately while processing credit card payments through POS systems; maintain accountability for cash handling procedures. Assist with food handling, bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to uphold sanitation standards. Engage with guests to foster positive guest relations, address inquiries or concerns promptly, and ensure a memorable dining experience. Maintain knowledge of restaurant policies on sanitation and food safety regulations to uphold industry standards at all times. Support team members during busy periods by managing time effectively to deliver prompt service without compromising quality. Qualifications Proven experience in food service or fine dining environments; restaurant experience required. Demonstrated skills in upselling beverages, spirits, wines, and menu items to maximize sales opportunities. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle guest relations professionally. Ability to manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management in a fast-paced setting. Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately; familiarity with cash handling procedures required. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques. Experience with cocktail preparation and beverage service; spirits knowledge highly desirable. Previous experience working in hospitality or the food industry—especially in fine dining or nightclub settings—is advantageous.
