Job Description
- Job Title: Production Associate
- Job Description
- The Production Associate plays a key role in supporting manufacturing operations by preparing batches, operating processing equipment, and ensuring accurate documentation throughout the production process.
This role involves handling materials, packaging products, entering data into production systems, and monitoring computerized control screens to maintain safe, efficient, and high-quality output.
- Responsibilities
- + Load mixers with the correct materials according to production instructions and schedules.
+ Perform accurate data entry into production and computer systems to record batches, materials, and processing information.
+ Operate processing and production equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with work instructions and machine safety guidelines.
+ Move, stage, and organize materials to support continuous production flow and minimize downtime.
+ Package products according to specifications, ensuring proper labeling, counts, and quality standards.
+ Use and monitor computerized display and control screens to oversee equipment performance and make adjustments as needed.
+ Maintain proper documentation for production activities, including logs, batch records, and equipment checklists.
+ Prepare batches by measuring, weighing, and combining materials using digital scales in both metric and US standard units.
+ Monitor assigned equipment throughout start-up, operation, and shutdown, following lockout/tag-out procedures when required.
+ Operate a forklift to move materials and finished goods safely within the facility.
+ Follow cleanroom and inspection procedures to maintain product quality and a controlled production environment.
+ Adhere to work instructions and production processes to ensure consistent, high-quality output.
+ Support machine operation on the production line, including setup, basic troubleshooting, and changeovers.
+ Comply with all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards to maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Essential Skills
- + Experience working in production, assembly, or manufacturing environments.
+ Proficiency in operating processing and production machinery following established work instructions.
+ Ability to perform accurate data entry into production and computer systems.
+ Capability to use digital scales in both metric and US standard units for precise material measurement.
+ Experience with packaging, inspection, and production line processes.
+ Understanding of machine safety practices, including lockout/tag-out procedures.
+ Ability to operate a forklift or willingness to learn and become certified as required.
+ Comfort working in cleanroom or controlled production environments.
+ Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
+ Basic computer literacy for monitoring and using computerized control screens.
- Additional Skills & Qualifications
- + Experience in machine operation and machine operating within a production or manufacturing setting.
+ Experience following detailed work instructions and production processes.
+ Familiarity with cleanroom protocols and inspection procedures.

- Work Environment
- This role is based in a manufacturing facility that operates multiple shifts, offering a range of schedules such as 7:00 a.
m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with some required weekday overtime, and other options including 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., 6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., 2:45 p.m. to 11:15 p.m., and 10:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m. Future shift adjustments, such as a possible 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. schedule, may be based on experience and operational needs. The environment includes production lines, processing equipment, cleanroom areas, digital scales, computerized control screens, and forklift operations, with a strong emphasis on safety, machine operation standards, and adherence to work instructions.

- This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Simpsonville, SC.
- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $20.
00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
