Job Overview J & M Sweet Shoppe is looking for a friendly, dependable, and outgoing person to join our team! We are a locally owned, family-friendly ice cream shop looking for someone who enjoys working with people, takes initiative, and provides great customer service. Duties Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service Prepare and serve soft-serve ice cream, cones, cups, shakes, floats, and other menu items Operate the register and handle customer transactions Keep the shop, counters, tables, and work areas clean and organized Restock supplies as needed Help with opening and/or closing duties Follow food safety and cleanliness procedures Work well independently and as part of a small team What We're Looking For Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable interacting with customers Dependable and punctual Positive attitude and strong work ethic A self-starter who notices what needs to be done and takes initiative Able to stay productive without constant direction Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Pays attention to cleanliness and detail Works well with others Previous customer service or food-service experience is helpful, but not required Physical Requirements Applicants should be able to: Stand and walk for the majority of the shift Bend, reach, and perform routine cleaning tasks Lift and carry shop supplies as needed Work around commercial ice cream equipment .

Pay:

$10.00 - $15.00 per hour
