Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables with a friendly demeanor. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with the kitchen and bar staff. Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality. Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling, credit card processing, and upselling additional menu items like wines or cocktails. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, service stations, and dining areas in accordance with food safety standards. Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth operations. Build rapport with guests through excellent customer service, guest relations, and personalized recommendations to enhance their dining experience. Requirements Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred; fine dining experience is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is required; knowledge of OpenTable for reservations is advantageous. Strong knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktails, and drink presentation techniques. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours. Ability to perform basic math accurately for processing payments and giving correct change. Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professionalism at all times. Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures. Experience in upselling menu items to increase sales while ensuring guest satisfaction.
