Server - Full-Time & Part-Time Gao's BBQ & Crab is hiring reliable, friendly and customer-focused Servers for full-time and part-time positions. Pay $12.00 per hour, plus eligible shared tips Employees are paid according to their actual recorded working hours. Tip amounts are not guaranteed and may vary based on restaurant sales, eligible shifts, hours worked and the applicable payroll period.

Employment Types Full-time:

Generally scheduled for approximately 40 hours per week

Part-time:

Hours vary based on employee availability and restaurant needs Actual workdays and hours are assigned by the store manager. Fixed weekly hours and specific workdays are not guaranteed unless confirmed by management.

Restaurant Hours Monday-Friday:

4:00 PM-2:00

AM Saturday-Sunday:

12:00 PM-2:00 AM Scheduling Information Server shifts are scheduled within the restaurant's operating hours. Employees are not necessarily scheduled for the restaurant's entire operating period. Specific shift start and end times are assigned by the store manager based on employee availability and restaurant needs. Friday, Saturday and Sunday availability is required. Weekend shifts may include daytime, evening and closing hours. Candidates must be able to work evening and closing shifts. Closing shifts may continue until approximately 2:00 AM. Applicants must have reliable transportation available after late-night closing shifts. Responsibilities Greet guests and provide friendly, attentive and professional service. Explain menu items and answer customer questions. Take food and beverage orders accurately. Enter orders into the POS system. Process customer payments accurately as assigned. Deliver food and beverages and respond promptly to guest requests. Refill drinks, sauces and other table items. Monitor assigned tables throughout the customer's visit. Clear, clean and reset tables. Maintain clean and organized tables, service stations and dining areas. Restock utensils, napkins, sauces, beverages and other service supplies. Complete assigned opening, closing and side-work duties. Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house team members. Assist coworkers during busy service periods. Follow restaurant service, food-safety, sanitation and workplace-safety standards. Handle customer questions or concerns professionally and notify the manager when assistance is needed. Complete other reasonable front-of-house duties assigned by the store manager. Qualifications Legally authorized to work in the United States. Able to commute reliably to the restaurant. Dependable attendance and reliable transportation. Available to work Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Able to work evening and closing shifts until approximately 2:00 AM. Friendly and professional communication skills. Comfortable communicating with customers in English. Able to learn the menu and enter orders accurately. Comfortable handling customer payments and using a POS system. Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods. Able to carry food, beverages and restaurant supplies safely. Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced and physically demanding restaurant environment. Willing to learn and follow company procedures. Previous restaurant, serving, cashier or customer-service experience is preferred but not required. Career Development Part-time Servers may be considered for full-time opportunities based on performance, availability and restaurant needs. Qualified full-time Servers may be considered for Shift Lead development. Advancement is based on performance, reliability, successful training completion and restaurant needs and is not guaranteed. Additional Information This is an in-person restaurant position. Employees must accurately record all hours worked. Required opening, closing, side-work and training time is paid working time. Overtime must be approved in advance and will be paid when required by applicable law. Employment schedules may change based on restaurant operations and staffing needs.
