Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and attentive Food Server to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction in a fine dining or casual restaurant setting. Prior experience with food handling, POS systems, and guest relations is highly desirable. The position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within the food industry while delivering memorable experiences to our guests. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their dining experience Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times Clear tables efficiently, bussing dishes and resetting for new guests Assist with guest inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and foster positive guest relations Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders Maintain cleanliness of service stations and dining areas in accordance with sanitation standards Support host/host duties when needed, including seating guests and managing reservations Experience Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred, especially in sushi restaurant. Familiarity with POS systems Experience in food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols within the food industry is essential Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage guest relations effectively Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing Knowledge of upselling techniques and sales strategies to enhance guest experience Prior experience as a host/host or in bussing roles is advantageous but not required Ability to work morning, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed in a fast-paced hospitality environment
