Responsibilities Safely transport prepared dishes from the kitchen to guest tables, ensuring presentation and temperature are maintained. Assist with clearing tables by bussing dishes and cleaning surfaces promptly to keep dining areas tidy and inviting. Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and hygiene standards during delivery and clearing. Support kitchen staff with manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of food trays or supplies using safe lifting practices. Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and guests to coordinate timely food delivery and address special requests. Maintain cleanliness of service areas by performing routine cleaning tasks including wiping down tables, chairs, and service stations. Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for order accuracy when needed for guest requests or billing assistance. Requirements Previous experience in food running, serving, or hospitality environments is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques to ensure guest safety. Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for long periods, walking swiftly between the kitchen and dining area, and heavy lifting in accordance with safe lifting practices. Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and provide excellent in-person customer service. Experience with bussing, cleaning, or general restaurant duties is advantageous. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in guest interactions.
