Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted. Serve food and beverages efficiently, including cocktails, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic drinks, maintaining high standards of presentation and safety. Upsell menu items and suggest pairings to enhance the guest experience and increase sales. Process transactions smoothly with cash handling and sales transaction processing, including OpenTable reservations management. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including proper food handling and beverage service procedures. Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas quickly during busy hours, and supporting kitchen staff when needed. Build guest relations through attentive service, responding promptly to inquiries or concerns to ensure satisfaction. Requirements Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or bars. Strong knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell effectively while maintaining professionalism under pressure. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques. Ability to manage time efficiently during busy shifts; multitask seamlessly between serving, bussing, and cashiering duties. Culinary experience or beverage expertise—including cocktail making, wine knowledge, spirits experience—preferred but not required. Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing cash transactions confidently. Previous experience in hospitality roles such as host/hostess or bartender is advantageous.
