The Hotel Restaurant Server is responsible for providing exceptional dining service to guests in the hotel's restaurant or dining area. This role involves greeting guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a pleasant and memorable dining experience. The Server must be attentive to guest needs, ensure accuracy in order taking, and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dining area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet guests in a friendly and welcoming manner and guide them to their table.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring all special requests or dietary restrictions are communicated to the kitchen.
• Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring they meet the hotel's standards for presentation and quality.
• Answer any questions guests may have about the menu, including providing suggestions for food and wine pairings.
• Ensure guests' needs are met during their meal, including refilling drinks, checking on satisfaction, and addressing any concerns promptly.
• Clear and reset tables between courses or after guests finish their meal to prepare for the next guests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including floors, tables, and surrounding spaces.
• Handle guest payments accurately and efficiently, processing credit card transactions and cash payments.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
• Assist in the preparation and organization of the dining area before opening, including setting up tables and arranging place settings.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations to maintain a safe and clean environment for both guests and staff.
• Assist with special events, banquets, or room service as needed.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the restaurant or hotel management.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience as a server in a restaurant, hotel, or similar setting is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of menu items, food and beverage offerings, and basic food preparation.
• Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with other restaurant and hotel staff.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and carry heavy trays or dishes.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the hotel's operation.

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Knowledge of wine and food pairings and ability to provide recommendations to guests.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling.
• Previous experience in high-end or fine dining service.
