Tasting Room Server Barnard Griffin Winery is Washington's premier family-owned winery, founded in 1983 by Robert Griffin and Deborah Barnard. As one of the oldest and most respected wineries in the Northwest, Barnard Griffin focuses on quality winemaking coupled with a strong family legacy.
Job Description :
We are looking for a Tasting Room associate to serve, interact with and inform our guests. This position will report to the Tasting Room Manager and will be an important member of our front-of-house staff. They will be expected to assist with all aspects of the guest experience, so excellent customer service is a must. Weekend and evening availability required. This position will be part time, and the currently available shifts are mostly weekdays. Compensation will be minimum wage, plus gratuity and commission; which typically amounts to $25 an hour or more.
Job Qualifications:
Exceptional customer service Preferred industry experience Ability to work independently Ability to lift and carry 50lbs Ability to work standing up for majority of shift Must have or obtain WA MAST Permit upon hire Must have or obtain WA Food Handler Permit upon hire
Job Responsibilities:
Cultivate a positive wine experience for all guests Effectively communicate knowledge of wines, winery and winemaking process Coordinate and fulfill wine shipments Maintain a clean and presentable tasting room facility Communicate wine club information to guests Assist during special events and wine club parties Attend phones and tasting room email inquiries
