Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival, manage reservations, and seat guests efficiently to maximize table turnover. Assist servers by bussing tables promptly, clearing dishes, and resetting tables to uphold cleanliness standards. Deliver food orders swiftly from the kitchen to tables as a Food Runner, ensuring accuracy and presentation quality. Support food preparation tasks such as basic meal assembly, garnishing, or handling ingredients under supervision to aid kitchen operations. Maintain cleanliness throughout the dining area by sweeping, mopping, sanitizing surfaces, and managing waste disposal. Handle in-person customer service interactions with professionalism, including answering questions about menu items and dietary options. Operate POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for order taking and cash handling accurately during busy service hours. Requirements Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform physical tasks such as bending or reaching comfortably. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to ensure guest safety. Basic math skills for cash handling and POS transactions with accuracy. Familiarity with restaurant operations including bussing, serving, dishwashing, and beverage preparation is a plus. Experience with kitchen activities like knife skills or meat cutting can be beneficial but is not mandatory.
