The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a smooth dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to manage reservations and seating efficiently. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables. Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart to optimize guest flow. Provide menus and inform guests of daily specials or promotions. Answer phone calls with professionalism, assisting with inquiries and reservations. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service. Handle guest complaints or concerns with empathy and resolve issues promptly. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station. Assist in training new hosts/hostesses as needed. Skills Previous Host/Host experience preferred, along with food service knowledge. Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction. Restaurant experience is a plus, particularly in fast-paced environments. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous. Background in hotel or guest services can enhance the candidate's profile. Ability to build rapport with guests through effective guest relations techniques. Knowledge of serving etiquette and hospitality best practices.
