As a Host / Hostess , you set the tone from the moment guests arrive. You are the welcoming face of Glacier — guiding guests seamlessly from arrival to seating, managing flow during high-volume service, and ensuring every guest feels acknowledged, comfortable, and excited to be here. This role is ideal for polished, personable individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and take pride in delivering exceptional first impressions. Key Responsibilities Greet all guests with warmth, confidence, and genuine hospitality Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems (Aloha, Micros, or similar) Control guest flow and seating to maximize efficiency and maintain smooth service Escort guests to tables, provide menus, and assist with initial questions Communicate clearly with servers, bartenders, and management to support guest satisfaction Answer phones professionally, handling reservations and guest inquiries accurately Maintain a clean, organized, and polished host stand and lobby area Address guest needs or concerns promptly and courteously, escalating when appropriate Qualifications & Experience Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a hospitality environment preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-first mindset Experience with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is a plus Ability to multitask and stay composed in a high-energy, high-volume environment Familiarity with hospitality standards, guest relations, and professional phone etiquette Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and events Why Join Glacier At Glacier, hosts are more than greeters — they are the gatekeepers of the guest experience.
