About Us Nestled on a scenic hillside with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, The Inn at Otter Crest offers a tranquil getaway with unique, individually owned units. Each unit is thoughtfully furnished by its owner, providing our guests with a one-of-a-kind experience. Many owners choose to rent their rooms when not in use, giving our guests a fresh and personalized stay every time. We're currently seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Front Desk Agent to serve as the first point of contact for our guests, guiding them through all aspects of their stay from reservations to check-out. As a Front Desk Agent, you'll play a key role in creating an exceptional guest experience, ensuring everything from check-in to check-out goes smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Check-In/Check-Out:
Provide a seamless experience for guests during their arrival and departure.Reservation Management:
Handle reservations via phone and online platforms, ensuring all details are accurate.Payment Processing:
Inform guests about payment methods, verify credit card details, and manage transactions.Guest Registration:
Collect necessary guest information (contact details, stay dates) to facilitate a smooth check-in.Room Assignment & Information:
Welcome guests, assign rooms, and provide detailed information about the hotel, available amenities, and rates.Issue Resolution:
Respond to guest concerns and complaints with professionalism and efficiency, ensuring satisfaction. Collaboration withHousekeeping:
Coordinate with the housekeeping team to ensure rooms are prepared, clean, and meet guest expectations.Group Reservations & VIP Services:
Confirm group bookings and arrange special services for VIP guests, events, or weddings.Upselling:
Promote additional services and amenities to enhance the guest experience.Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate booking records, payment details, and other guest information.Owner Relations:
Assist with scheduling cleaning and special requests from property owners.Required Skills & Experience:
Familiarity with hotel reservation software (e.g., RoomMaster or similar platforms). Knowledge of popular travel websites and booking platforms (e.g., Expedia, Booking.com, Hopper & AirBnB). A positive, customer-first attitude with a focus on hospitality. Strong communication and organizational skills. Basic computer proficiency and math skills.Availability:
Must be available to work weekends and flexible to handle both morning and evening shifts.
