Job Description

Job description: A confidential hospitality organization is seeking an experienced and dynamic Hotel General Manager to lead the operations of a hotel with a strong business guest clientele located in Wilmington, Delaware. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader who can drive operational success while maintaining exceptional guest satisfaction and team engagement. This role requires a hands-on leader who is passionate about hospitality, operational excellence, and financial performance. Key Responsibilities Oversee the overall operations of the hotel to ensure efficiency, profitability, and high guest satisfaction. Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team dedicated to delivering exceptional service. Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue while maintaining brand standards and guest experience. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements. Maintain strong financial oversight including budgeting, forecasting, and expense management to meet or exceed profit goals. Foster a positive workplace culture that promotes teamwork, accountability, and high employee morale. Serve as a liaison with guests, prospective guests, and community stakeholders. Collaborate closely with the Food & Beverage team to ensure seamless operations and service excellence. Uphold the highest ethical standards in all aspects of hotel operations and guest relations. Qualifications High School diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Hotel General Manager in a Select Service hotel with Food & Beverage or Full-Service hotel environment. Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to drive operational excellence and achieve or exceed budgetary goals. Certified Hospitality Administrator (CHA) designation preferred.
