Hotel Maintenance Person

Description Bay View Collection is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Person to join our team supporting our boutique hotels in Camden and Rockport. This role is responsible for the daily upkeep of both interior and exterior spaces, ensuring the highest levels of guest satisfaction, safety, and property standards. Working under the direction of the Management Team, the Maintenance Person performs general repairs and preventive maintenance across guest rooms, public spaces, and mechanical systems. Responsibilities Perform daily maintenance and preventive care on hotel systems and facilities, including HVAC, plumbing fixtures, lighting, kitchen refrigeration, and laundry equipment. Inspect guest rooms and public areas regularly; log and address repairs promptly. Collaborate with other departments to quickly resolve maintenance issues and support guest satisfaction. Maintain cleanliness and fire safety in common areas, parking lots, and outdoor spaces. Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow removal, landscaping, and winterization. Support event setup and movement of furniture/equipment between properties as needed. Be available for emergency calls and after-hours maintenance situations. Requirements Previous maintenance or facilities experience preferred; hospitality background a plus. Working knowledge of basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work independently. Capable of standing, lifting, and performing physical tasks for extended periods. Professional appearance, positive attitude, and strong communication skills.
