Job Description :

Balanced Rock Inn is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a housekeeper! As a key member of our hospitality staff, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our property, ensuring a pleasant and comfortable experience for our guests.

Independent Work Schedule:

Flexible, based on occupancy and operations. Day/ Morning Shifts 1 Weekend day required each week

Responsibilities:

Tidy, clean and sanitize guest rooms including making beds, dusting furniture, vacuuming carpets, and cleaning bathrooms. Ensure all linens and amenities are stocked and replenished in guest rooms. Collect dirty linens and towels from guest rooms and transport them to the laundry area. Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron linens and towels according to established procedures and standards. Inspect laundered items for cleanliness and quality assurance before returning them to circulation. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry area, including regular cleaning of machines and work surfaces. Clean and maintain common areas such as laundry areas, stairs, walkways and hallways, lobby and breakfast room. Perform deep cleaning tasks, such as scrubbing baseboards, washing windows, and scrubbing floors & walls on a rotational basis. Follow established procedures for handling and disposing of trash and waste materials. Report any maintenance issues or damages to management promptly. Adhere to any specific cleaning procedures and guidelines provided by management, ensuring consistency and quality in the cleaning process. Uphold sanitation and hygiene standards to ensure a clean and safe environment for guests and staff. Assist guests with any housekeeping-related requests or inquiries in a courteous and professional manner.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, such as vacuum cleaners, mop buckets, and laundry bags, up to 25 pounds. Stamina to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods during the shift. Agility to maneuver through tight spaces Ability to frequently climb stairs. Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for tasks such as operating cleaning equipment and handling small objects. Tolerance for exposure to cleaning chemicals and dust. Physical fitness to perform repetitive tasks with efficiency and attention to detail.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial work preferred. Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment. Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as required by the demands of the Inn's operation.
