Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of guest rooms, patient areas, or facility spaces using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet care to ensure safety and appearance standards are met Restock supplies such as toiletries, linens, and cleaning materials to ensure readiness for daily operations Follow OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines to promote a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues Ensure all cleaning procedures comply with environmental services protocols and sanitation standards Handle waste disposal responsibly, adhering to proper disposal procedures for hazardous or medical waste when applicable Conduct routine inspections to identify areas needing attention or additional cleaning support Skills Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or healthcare settings, including hospital environments Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to cleaning and sanitation practices Skilled in various cleaning techniques including floor care, surface disinfection, and environmental services procedures Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, carpet extractors, and vacuums effectively Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during shifts Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while adhering to safety protocols Embrace this opportunity to make a meaningful impact by ensuring our facilities are pristine and safe.
