Houseperson

Job Summary The Houseperson is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the hotel's public areas, restrooms, and exterior grounds, while also supporting housekeeping and assisting with banquet setup. This role ensures all indoor and outdoor spaces are clean, safe, and ready to provide an excellent guest experience. Key Responsibilities Clean and maintain all public areas including lobby, hallways, stairwells, elevators, and common spaces Clean, sanitize, and restock public restrooms throughout the day Assist housekeeping staff with tasks such as removing trash, delivering linens, and supporting room turnover as needed Maintain outdoor areas including entrances, walkways, and parking lots Water and care for plants, landscaping, and seasonal décor Perform snow removal duties including shoveling, salting, and clearing entrances and walkways (seasonal) Remove trash from interior and exterior areas and transport to designated disposal areas Keep housekeeping storage areas clean, organized, and fully stocked Assist with banquet and meeting room setup and breakdown, including arranging tables, chairs, and equipment Ensure meeting and event spaces are clean, organized, and reset according to specifications Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or needed repairs promptly Assist with deep cleaning and special projects as needed Qualifications Previous housekeeping, maintenance, or hospitality experience preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and cleanliness Reliable and punctual Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions Work Environment Fast-paced hotel environment Indoor and outdoor work required year-round Schedule may include weekends, evenings, and holidays Schedule & Status Part-time or full-time based on business needs Flexible schedule required Additional Expectations Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude Follow all company policies and safety procedures Support team members and contribute to overall hotel cleanliness and guest satisfaction
