Job Description

Founded in 1954 as Center Medical Hospital, Kentfield Hospital- now a subsidiary of American Advanced Management-is a Long-Term Acute care Hospital (LTACH) serving patients across two locations in Marin County and San Francisco. Our 60-bed facilities specialize in caring for individuals with critical or chronic complex medical conditions who require extended recovery periods. Kentfield Hospital offers a comprehensive range of services, including cardiac care, neuro recovery, respiratory support, advanced wound care and physical/occupational therapy. Each patient receives a personalized treatment plan designed to support their unique recovery journey. SUMMARY:
Kentfield hospital is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate HR Assistant to support daily Human Resources operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role assists the HR director and handles employee onboarding, maintaining personnel files, supporting payroll and benefits administrations, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Keeps track of regulatory requirements such as licensure and certifications, working closely with scheduling Provides administrative support to HR department, filing, projects, compliance and running reports Support with payroll processing, benefits, and performance management administration Assists with new hire orientation as well as onboarding (background checks, onboarding paperwork, benefits, etc) I-9 verification and maintaining I-9 files Performs customer service responsibilities, answering employee requests and concerns regarding HR policies and procedures Maintains accurate employee data to ensure integrity of HR and employee Changes in salary, title, forms, benefits, etc. Assists with recruitment activities such as creating and managing requisitions, interviews, and candidate relations Knowledge of HIPAA, The Joint Commission, state and federal regulations relating to Human Resources
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree in Business Administration, or related field or aPHR/PHR Previous hands-on HR experience (ideally in healthcare setting) Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately Strong organizational and multitasking skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills
