  • Bilingual Lee, MA Apply As we continue to grow, now with 50+ employees across two companies, we are creating a dedicated HR function for the first time.
We are looking for a part-time bilingual (Spanish/English) HR Generalist who is people-focused, organized, and ready to own day-to-day HR operations in a hands-on, small business environment. This role will serve as the primary HR resource for employees and managers across both companies, working closely with our Finance and leadership teams to support a positive, compliant, and well-run workplace.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
  • Employee Support & Communication:
    Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and communication in both Spanish and English. Support managers in addressing employee-related issues and maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding:
    Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a consistent, organized, and welcoming employee experience. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure all required steps are completed across both entities.
  • HR Operations & Compliance:
    Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and internal policies. Manage HR documentation and required processes.
  • Benefits Administration:
    Oversee benefits enrollment, changes, and employee communication. Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefit administration and benefit questions.
Payroll Coordination:
Process bi-weekly payroll through a third-party payroll system, ensuring accuracy of wages, deductions, garnishments, and benefits. Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. Work closely with the Finance team to ensure employee data, status changes, and time records are accurate and current, and support the transition to and ongoing management of a fully electronic payroll system.
  • Workers Compensation & Employee Claims:
    Manage workers\' compensation claims and related processes, coordinating with employees, managers, and insurance providers.
  • Process Improvement & Systems:
    Help build, improve, and document HR systems, workflows, and policies to support a growing and evolving organization.
Cross-Functional Support:
Partner closely with leadership, Finance, and office teams to support communication, coordination, and day-to-day operational needs across both companies.
REQUIREMENTS
  • 5-6 years of experience in human resources or a related field
  • Bilingual Spanish/English required, strong verbal and written communication in both languages.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Comfortable working independently in a hands-on, small business environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate\'s or Bachelor\'s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience in agriculture, food production, or distribution
  • Experience supporting multi-entity or shared-resource businesses
  • Familiarity with payroll platforms and HRIS systems
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
This is a salaried exempt position. Compensation for this position is based on experience and level of responsibility. The anticipated salary range for this role is \$54,000
