We are seeking a highly experienced HSE Lead to lead and continuously improve Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) programs across North America. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to leadership, sites, and field teams—driving proactive risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, and a strong safety culture across operations, manufacturing, R D, field service, contractors, and projects. This role is ideal for a hands-on HSE leader who thrives in complex, multi‑site environments and can balance strategic governance with operational execution.
Target Salary Range:
$125,000-140,000 annual bonus In this role your main accountabilities will be: Lead and continuously improve Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) programs across sites, projects, field service, and contractors in North America. Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate HSSE risks; develop and maintain risk assessments, permits to work, and business continuity plans. Ensure compliance with regulatory and fiduciary requirements, including OSHA, EPA, Workers' Compensation, and applicable U.S. and Canadian laws. Own and maintain ISO management systems (ISO 45001), including audits, legal registers, and corrective actions. Manage contractor and third‑party HSE performance, onboarding, licensing, evaluations, and risk management tools. Lead incident investigations, crisis response, and emergency preparedness, including corrective and preventive action management. Develop, execute, and continuously improve HSE training programs (electrical safety, first aid, OSHA, driving, working at height, onboarding). Oversee electrical safety and competency programs, assessments, and arc‑flash compliance. Track, analyze, and report HSE metrics, trends, and improvement initiatives to leadership and governance boards. Support facilities, R D, manufacturing, field service, and sales activities with HSE expertise, including new site setups, audits, tenders, and improvement projects. To make this work, we need a safety expert with: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Occupational Health & Safety or a related field. 8+ years of progressive HSE experience in (electrical) manufacturing, industrial, energy, or field service environments. Deep knowledge of
ISO 45001, OSHA, EPA, NFPA 70E, CSA
Z462, and Workers' Compensation requirements. Proven experience leading audits, investigations, crisis response, and multi‑site HSE programs. Strong electrical safety competence and experience with high‑risk activities. For example; Intimate knowledge of LOTO, procedures towards deenergized work and coaching Field Service Engineers on Safe Working. Experience working with contractors, third‑party auditors, insurers, and regulatory bodies. Ability to influence senior leaders and frontline teams with a pragmatic, risk‑based approach.
