at Department of Human Services in Anna, Illinois, United States Job Description Position Overview The Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking to hire a Human Resources Associate for the Choate Mental Health and Developmental Center located in Anna, Illinois to perform specialized paraprofessional human resource activities in the Personnel Office. Serves as office receptionist and responds to inquiries regarding employment opportunities. Maintains performance evaluation system, and employee personnel, medical and insurance files, electronically. Processes and completes all pre-employment documentation. Essential Functions Serves as office receptionist and responds to inquiries regarding employment opportunities to current staff and the general public. Updates computerized performance evaluation system and forwards monthly notification of due dates to management staff. Completes all pre-employment processes for contract/new hire’s in all positions at the facility. Performs specialized paraprofessional human resource activities in the Personnel Office. Maintains employee’s personnel files, medical files, and insurance files. Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above. Minimum Qualifications Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of two (2) years of college or satisfactory completion of an approved training program. Requires the ability to keyboard accurately at thirty (30) wpm. Conditions of Employment Requires the ability to work after business hours, weekends, and holidays. Requires the ability to utilize office equipment, including personal computers. Requires the ability to travel in performance of job duties. Requires ability to pass the IDHS background check. Requires ability to pass a drug screen for drugs prohibited from recreational use under Illinois Law.
