Job Description

HR Generalist We're partnering with a growing manufacturing organization seeking an energetic and driven HR Generalist to join their onsite team. Reporting directly to the HR Manager, this role offers hands-on exposure to all facets of HR within a large, fast-paced facility, along with real opportunities for long-term growth and advancement across the organization. This is a highly visible role where you'll play a key part in supporting day-to-day HR operations, employee engagement, and plant initiatives while building your experience alongside an established HR leadership team. The ideal candidate will bring experience in areas such as employee relations, payroll, talent acquisition/recruiting, or benefits administration. Job Responsibilities:
Partner with employees and leadership to address workplace concerns, support coaching and corrective actions, conduct investigations, and help resolve performance-related matters. Manage full-cycle recruiting efforts, including workforce planning, job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, offer coordination, and onboarding activities. Process payroll-related activities by compiling time and attendance information, submitting payroll inputs, completing HRIS transactions, and generating reports as needed. Administer and communicate employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, disability, life insurance, FMLA, flexible spending accounts, and retirement plans. Serve as a trusted HR resource for managers and employees by providing guidance on company policies, procedures, benefits, and HR best practices. Maintain accurate employee records within HRIS and timekeeping systems, including onboarding documentation, compensation updates, and payroll audits for accuracy. Support employee engagement initiatives by coordinating events, recognition programs, and activities alongside employee committees. Assist with internal and external audit preparation and compliance initiatives. Help identify high-potential talent and support succession planning and employee development strategies. Champion organizational change initiatives and encourage adoption through proactive communication and leadership support. Contribute to the development of employee relations programs that strengthen engagement, retention, and workforce development. Support training and development programs that enhance employee growth and operational effectiveness. Partner with leadership teams on workforce planning, employee development, and people strategy initiatives.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered. 3 to 5 years HR experience in employee relations, payroll, recruiting, consulting, leadership development, talent development, and/or compensation/benefit administration. Prior experience supporting a variety of people-focused functions within a fast-paced business environment. Ability to build strong partnerships with leadership teams and provide guidance on workforce and organizational matters. Demonstrates professionalism, sound judgment, and discretion when working with sensitive or confidential information. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships across all levels of an organization. Comfortable navigating complex situations, supporting decision-making processes, and helping drive positive outcomes. Strong computer and systems skills; experience working within HR-related platforms and business systems is a plus.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
