Description and Requirements General Description:
The HR Liaison provides support to the Human Resources department.- This position requires the employee to work in our Glen Allen office Monday
- Friday, 8:30 AM
- 5:00 PM.
Responsibilities:
Provide guidance to resolve employee issues. Assist employees in complying with company policies. Research and respond to employee questions, escalating complex issues as necessary. Ensure company's compliance with internal policies, state and federal regulations. Coordinate with Payroll to execute accurate employee paychecks. Ensure accurate employee time reporting. Maintain compliant employee files, including processing information changes in online HR administration systems. Assist in managing FMLA, STD, LTD, and workers compensation claims. Facilitate company hiring activity and the onboarding process. Produce offer letters, conduct pre-employment checks and assessments. Communicate deadlines to employees to manage their benefits, performance and other annual responsibilities. Offboard terminating employees. Conduct exit interviews, gather property and correspond with state unemployment agency as needed. Assist HR leaders with managing violations of company policy.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor's Degree required, with a concentration in HR or Business Administration preferred. 1-2 years of Human Resources experience required. Certification in Human Resources (PHR or SHRM-CP) preferred, but not required. Competence in employee relations with strong communication skills. Ability to make recommendations to resolve problems and ensure policies are upheld. Comfort using Microsoft Office and Human Resources administration systems. #LI-NB2 Why USI?
