We are seeking a Benefits Coordinator to join the company, a premier supplier, in Orlando, FL

- Collaborate with Benefits Team members to administer benefits, retirement and leave programs in accordance with the OUC policies and procedures and applicable federal and state laws.
- Support daily benefits operations, processes, procedures and serve as the first point of contact for employee and retiree inquiries regarding benefits, leave and retirement programs via phone and email.
- Review all benefits, leave of absence and retirement forms and support documentation ensuring accuracy and compliance with HR policies, as well as following appropriate privacy and record disposition procedures.
- Compile employee and retiree separation documents, upload to file storage system.
- Send new hire benefits emails, including enrollment instructions, plan details and requirements.
- Assemble and upload employee recognition reporting to recognition platform weekly.
- Prepare, send and file COBRA notices for terminations and dependents aging out at age 26. Review education and safety glasses reimbursement requests for completeness.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Payroll, IT, HRIS, etc.) and external vendors to ways to streamline operations, improve the use of technology, reduce redundancies and improve quality, accuracy, and timeliness of information processing.
- Stay informed on changes to laws, regulations and policies regarding benefits administration, leave of absence, disability and retirement programs.
- Document standard operating procedures.
Experience Required:
- Associate's degree in human resources, Business, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university. In lieu of a degree, equivalent combination of education and directly related experience may be substitutable on a 1:1 basis.
- Experience with employee benefits, leave of absence, reasonable accommodation or retirement programs.
