Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Director of HR, Employee and Labor Relations, the Leave and Workers Compensation Administrator will serve as the subject matter expert for all Leaves of Absence at Merrimack Health, including Paid Family Medical Leave, Short- and Long-Term Disability, Workers Compensation, and all other paid and non-paid eligible leaves. The Administrator will ensure compliance with internal and external policies, procedures and reporting requirements. The Administrator the liaison between hospital staff, the state and Merrimack Health's party leave administrator.
EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in HR related discipline or equivalent.
  • Five years of experience in human resources, with at least three years of direct experience administering FMLA and MA Paid Leave, Worker's Compensation, and STD leave cases.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite. ADP Workforce Now experience a plus.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills. Ability to read, write and speak in Spanish a plus.
  • Healthy sense of urgency and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Ability to manage complex, confidential information with tact.
Preferred:
  • Previous healthcare experience and/or experience working in heavily unionized environments preferred.
