Role Summary The Benefits Administrator role is multifaceted, assisting clients and their team members in navigating both modern and traditional benefits. We expect the person in this role to have a high level of coordination, attention to detail, and the ability to pivot. This role focuses on communication with both clients and their team members, including effectively explaining our processes, compliance, and successful claim submissions. It is important for the Benefits Administrator to be interested in ongoing education as regulations change and technology evolves in healthcare.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Communication:
Use professional written and verbal communication to continue working with current clients and brokers, bringing on new clients, and assisting members. Provide top-tier customer service via phone calls and emails.
Plan Expertise & Compliance:
Become well-versed in the different plans and services offered by Flyte (ICHRA, HRA, FSA, COBRA, etc.) and keep up to date on changes to the regulations.
Personalized Guidance:
Apply knowledge to daily situations and provide specific recommendations and support to clients and members.
Critical Thinking:
Exercise good independent judgment in all tasks. As questions arise, define the problem, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; then, proactively create and communicate a solution.
Administrative Efficiency:
Efficiently handle administrative tasks for multiple ongoing client or member requests at once. Prioritize tasks effectively to adapt to the needs of each day.
Data Management:
Quickly and accurately process incoming data into different platforms to ensure system integrity.
Financial Tasks:
Understand billing and process invoices accurately and promptly. Apply benefit plan funding to participant accounts with precision.
Collaboration:
Work cross-functionally in a team environment and collaborate with internal departments to ensure client and team member needs are met.
Presentations:
In time, conduct benefits enrollment meetings and group presentations for clients and their employees.

Confidentiality:
Ability to work with highly confidential and sensitive information.
Technical Skills:
Proficient with Microsoft 365 and comfortable using desktop computers and learning new software. Fast and accurate data entry is required.
Process Oriented:
Ability to follow multi-step instructions and processes, even with frequent interruptions.
Education & Experience:
• A degree is preferred (specifically in Business Admin, Management, Communication, or HR). Experience working with employee benefits is preferred. Knowledge of laws and regulations surrounding the Affordable Care Act, COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, and Section 125 . An understanding of ICHRA, QSEHRA, FSAs, HSAs, and HRAs is preferred but not required.
Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
