Job Level:
Individual Contributor What You Will Be Doing:
Support the company benefit plan, primarily working with employees. Perform research and analysis to determine benefit eligibility. Assist employees and their families with enrollment in and understanding of Shelter's benefit plans. Work closely with vendors to ensure compliance surrounding various benefits including defined benefit and defined contribution plans. Assist payroll specialists when benefit or benefit deductions need investigation, testing, or other support. Provide technical support for new plans or changes to plans within our HRIS system (Workday). Provide assistance with benefit administration questions, including working with vendors for issue resolution.
What We're Looking For:
Excellent oral and written communication skills and professional interaction, including working with vendors and third-party administrators. Must possess technical ability to effectively utilize HRMS including running various tasks to complete accurate scheduled payroll and reporting. Meticulous attention to detail and adherence to guidelines and regulations such as IRS and DOL codes. Ability to collaborate well with others. Ability to keep a steady work schedule with regular, predictable attendance to ensure steady work flow and minimal disruption to department schedules and deadlines. On-the-job training to become familiar with terminology, company, and department organization. Payroll or benefit experience preferred. College degree or equivalent training preferred. Works under general supervision.
