Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Benefits Specialist/Analyst to support the administration of employee benefits, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, and Medicare programs. The role involves benefits processing, data analysis, issue resolution, participant communication, and support for system modernization and process improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Process and maintain benefit eligibility, enrollment, and account information. Research and resolve complex benefits, eligibility, and enrollment issues. Analyze large data sets and identify discrepancies or data-quality issues. Support benefits administration systems, data conversions, and technology modernization projects. Research and apply relevant policies, procedures, and regulations. Communicate complex benefits information clearly to members and stakeholders. Handle participant questions, complaints, grievances, and appeals. Prepare reports, spreadsheets, correspondence, and other documentation. Collaborate with internal teams, insurance providers, and third-party administrators. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive member and benefits information. Manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines. Required Qualifications Experience in benefits administration, health insurance, employee benefits, retirement, healthcare administration, or a related field. Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills. Experience working with data and identifying discrepancies. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong customer service and issue-resolution skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. Ability to learn new systems, applications, policies, and procedures quickly. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately. Preferred Qualifications Experience with health, dental, vision, life insurance, Medicare, or retirement benefits. Knowledge of federal/state benefits regulations and compliance requirements. Experience with benefits administration systems or data conversion projects. Experience handling grievances, appeals, complaints, or benefit disputes. Experience with process improvement, quality improvement, or system modernization initiatives. Experience developing training or educational materials.
Pay:
$24.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
