  • 135,000 + Benefits We're working with a growing multifamily property management company in Los Angeles that is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join its team.
This is an onsite position for someone with strong multifamily property accounting experience who is comfortable overseeing the day-to-day accounting function, managing multiple properties and working hands-on in AppFolio . Responsibilities Oversee full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of multifamily properties Manage month-end and year-end close Review general ledger activity, journal entries and account reconciliations Oversee AP, AR, bank reconciliations and cash activity Prepare and review monthly property financial statements Review accruals, prepaid expenses and balance sheet reconciliations Ensure accurate accounting across multiple properties and entities Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis Work closely with property managers and operational leadership Manage and mentor accounting staff Improve accounting procedures, controls and reporting processes Assist with audits, tax preparation and other accounting projects Requirements Multifamily property management accounting experience required Strong AppFolio experience required Prior Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, Senior Property Accountant or similar experience Strong understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting Experience managing accounting for multiple properties/entities Strong Excel and financial reporting skills Previous staff supervision preferred Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
